Manila, Philippines – The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday morning raided an underground shabu laboratory in North Greenhills, San Juan City that could reportedly produce at least P600 million worth of illegal narcos every month, according to a senior police official.
The discovered shabu lab is believed to be the source of shabu being sold in the outskirts of Metro Manila.
National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) head, Director Guillermo Eleazar said the raid at No. 5 Arthur Street in the North Greenhills was made possiblye by virtue of a search warrant issued by Pasig City Regional Trial Court Judge Danilo Cruz (Branch 152).
The raid yielded the confiscation of some P204 million of shabu.
“This is abandoned clandestine laboratory. We seized a lot of equipment and ingredients. This can produce 30 kilos in one cycle,” said Eleazar.

The NCRPO chief added that the operation in San Juan was considered a development of narco sting that resulted in the arrest of suspected big-time pusher Marvin Yu and South Korean chemist Kim Jong Hee in November.
“We are unearthing a big syndicate here. There are still members of the syndicate who are out there, not yet arrested,” Eleazar said.
“Based on the network and the production of this syndicate, it appears that their operation extends beyond Metro Manila,” he added.
Chief Inspector Allan Miparanum, EPD Drug Enforcement Unit chief, explained that the operation was prompted by residents of the subdivision who complained about the foul odor emanating from the raided property.
